Markus – Drummer with Power and Vision

Markus has been behind the drum kit for over 30 years – and his musical journey is as diverse as his playing. Whether it was Pop/Rock with “Souge” and “Sternkin,” Jazz/Fusion with “Blechwerk” and “Peep Show Miami,” cover grooves with “Fake.company,” or most recently Progressive Rock with “Walzwerk,” he has always sought out new challenges and fresh sonic landscapes.

Yet despite all that stylistic variety, one ambition remained: to play in a hard-hitting, uncompromising metal band.

With Mekong Age, Markus has finally found that stage. Here, he channels his dedication and drive into sweat-soaked performances, combining precision, experience, and relentless energy.

With explosive backbeats, a sharp sense for rhythmic detail, and a true passion for rocking out together, he pushes every song forward. His drumming is powerful, dynamic, and always on point – a blend of skill, intensity, and pure love for the craft.
